Situated in Skolegade across the street from Aarhus Theatre, Pinds Café is among Aarhus’ oldest pubs. The place is strongly associated with the legend of its owner through nearly half a century, Elna Pind, who despite her sharp tongue managed to make her clientele feel welcome and keep returning to the establishment.
Today, Pinds Café appears mostly as it did in the early-to-middle 20th century, from its distinctive outdoor sign to its homely interior. Combined with the cosy atmosphere that permeates Pinds, it is certainly worth a visit to experience traditional Aarhus pub culture. It doesn’t hurt, then, that most drinks are reasonably priced, allowing you to visit without worrying too much about your financial situation afterwards.
