Salling is somewhat of an Aarhus institution, having grown from a small draper’s shop into a thriving department store smack in the middle of Aarhus’ main pedestrian street, Strøget. Although Salling is renowned for its multiple excellent sales throughout the year, it’s not normally known as a cheap place to get… well, anything, really.
In the recently opened ‘Good to Go’ shop-in-shop, however, Salling offers delicious and rather affordable food to take away. Sandwiches and salads are about as cheap as even a supermarket lunch, but rest assured the food lives up to Salling’s usual standards of quality and good taste. The serrano sandwich (pictured), at least, is quite delicious, and the bread from Salling’s own bakery is excellent as usual.
