Situated in hip and youthful Mejlgade, OliNico is a frugal favourite among many Aarhusians, not least students. As cyclists shoot past on what has been dubbed Aarhus’ first bicycle street, hungry customers tend to line up outside the self-proclaimed “gastro grill bar” before it opens to ensure they get a serving of the delicious, unpretentious and almost unreasonably cheap meals. OliNico is particularly famed for its moules–frites consisting of steamed mussels served with French fries.
OliNico does have a (very) limited number of seats, but most people by far order the food to go.
